Using your 3D tie

To put the tie on:

With the neck loop around your neck, insert the disk into the on/off lock and pull the cord up.

To tighten the neck loop:

  1.  Pull the slider down to release the cord from the groove and keep pulling down until you reach the desired fit.
  2.  Pull the slider up so that the cord gets lodged in the groove.
  3. Attach the slider to the neck loop.
  4. Slide the slider up along the neck loop to remove the slack.
  5.  To achieve an extra secure lock, twist the slider around the cord before sliding it up.

To loosen the neck loop:

  1. Pull the slider down to release the cord from the groove.
  2. Pull down the knot to loosen the neck loop.
  3. Pull the outer cord up so that the cord gets lodged in the groove.
  4. Attach the slider to the neck loop.
  5. Slide the slider up along the neck loop to remove the slack.

To take the tie off:

Pull the cord to the left and down to release the disk.

To take the insert out:

Put a coin into the insert slot, turn it counterclockwise until it goes no further (approximately 30°), and push on the front of the insert to take it out.

To put the insert in:

Push the insert from the back of the knot into the knot opening fitting the little bumps on the side of the insert into the grooves on the side of the opening. Then put a coin into the insert slot and turn it clockwise until the slot is vertical.

To change the knot:

Use a pen knife to push the spring bar to one side and pull out the blade. It is just like replacing a wrist band on a watch.

To adjust the length of the neck loop cord:

  1. Pull the handle down to expose the knot on the cord.
  2. Untie the knot.
  3.  Adjust the length of the cord and tie a new knot.
  4. Pull the handle up to cover the knot.
  5. Optionally, cut the extra cord off.
